I’m Nikita Gadson, founder and Principal Legal Consultant of Ascension Solutions. My goal is to bring clarity and practical solutions to your legal issues at reasonable pricing. My clients range from colleges, small businesses, nonprofit organizations and entrepreneurs.

I’m an Illinois licensed attorney with nearly 20 years of experience in various settings. I’m a values-driven attorney who understands the importance of building rapport to develop and implement effective legal strategies.

I have built a reputation of being a hardworking team player that delivers quality work and provides clear and reliable legal guidance. My professional experience encompasses handling matters related to corporate transactions, board governance, corporate entity management, higher education regulatory compliance, compliance and ethics strategy and implementation, policy development, and contract review & negotiation.

As both a creative and analytical thinker, I hold a Bachelor of Science in Music Business from Elmhurst University and a Juris Doctor degree from Chicago-Kent College of Law. When I’m not advising clients, I feed my creative side by performing and recording music as a vocalist, and recording scripts as a voice over artist. I was born and raised in Chicago, IL and am the proud mother to two amazing daughters.
